Genre Research 2- Music Video 1

1. Friendly Fires- 'Kiss Of Life'

In this video, there are lots of close ups of the lead singer. He has a lot of screen time throughout the video. This means that audience members who don't know of the band are introduced but also, their fans our happy as they can see the band member(s) whilst listening to them.
This is an example of the lead singers screen time

The location of the music video is different from the typical indie music video. It links in with the lyrics a little but an audience would not understand the video if the were not listening to the song with it.

Near the end of the video, the scene suddenly changes for about 20 seconds into a sunset scene then changes back again. It makes the video more interesting and keeps the audience hooked.

The music video is cut to the beat, it doesn't follow the lyrics completely but it does link in with them.
This music video match Andrew Goodwin's amplification theory.
